Since the invention of toilet paper, there hadn’t been many further revolutionary products that would make taking care of “business” a more pleasant experience, until there came along THE FLUSHABLE WIPE!
Finally!! That fresh feeling we once experienced as a child was now replicated for adults! In fact, this new sanitary product has become very popular over the last couple of years among households across the United States. However, and unbeknownst to us, it has secretly been creating havoc in our plumbing systems!
Although many flushable wipes claim that they disintegrate like ordinary toilet paper, the fact of the matter is, they don’t break apart at all! In a Consumer Reports study conducted a few years ago, they tested a wide variety of these clog-causing culprits to see if they held true to their claim. After spinning for 30 minutes in flush-like conditions, they found that none of the “flushable” wipes disintegrated like regular toilet paper!
No matter what they claim, these so-called “flushable” wipes aren’t as flushable as they say, and they will probably, and most likely, get stuck in your sewer pipes. This can cause some major plumbing problems for your home in the future. So next time, before you use those “flushable” wipes, think twice before you flush them down your plumbing system!
